Ram Charan donated 10 lakh for flood victims

Posted by Rajesh Sunday, October 4, 2009 0 comments

Ram Charan Teja, the young hero, who is better known as Magadheera now has donated a sum of Rs 10 lakh for flood victims in Kurnool. It was just 24 hours that YS Jagan made an announcement of Rs 20 lakh for the same cause. The young leader has thus inspired Ram Charan now. The time seems to be encouraging all youngsters to come forward for this noble cause. It was Ram Charan’s fans and Jagan’s supporters those are coming forward to extend helping hand for all flood victims in the way that is possible for them.

Well, on the other hand old man Rosiah, the CM, is also struggling in his own way to impress people and party workers by doing night-out in his office to follow up the rescue operations in flood affected areas.

Real Hero

It is not known whether Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi has made any announcement donating any money to the Chief Minsiter’s relief fund towards the flood relief, but his son Ramcharan Teja proved himself to be a real “Magadheera.”

Charan donated Rs 10 lakh to the CM Relief Fund on Saturday as a small gesture to provide relief to the victims of a dreaded deluge. Not only that, he made an appeal to all his fans to donate substantially to the flood relief and participate in the relief operations. Film heroes Balakrishna and Venkatesh did not take out a penny from their pockets, but appealed to their fans associations to participate in the flood relief activities. That’s the spirit!

Recently released movie 'Boni' has Kirthi Karbanda as heroine is now all set to play as second heroine for Ram Charan in the upcoming movie directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar which has been titled as 'Orange'. Genelia is the main heroine and the film is to be made on Anjana production banner of Nagababu. The first schedule of the film will take place in Australia and the shoot will be launched in Hyderabad before 20th of this month. Harris Jayaraj is the music director. Thota Prasad is penning the dialogues. Anand Sai is the art director.

Ram Charan says “I was confident about living up to the expectations. Everything including my horse-riding skills worked wonderfully for the film. But I can’t take the entire credit for the film’s success. Without our director (Rajamouli) and the 200-odd cast/crew this film would never had clicked.” He’s glad that his film has “proved the potential of a Telugu film. We are remaking the film in Tamil and the film marks my debut in Kollywood. We are re-shooting the first half with a Tamil comedian,” he says. Will he do the Hindi remake as well? “I am not doing it but our film evoked great interest in Bollywood. A host of productions houses including Rakesh Roshan watched our film but nothing is yet finalised,” he says. Now, the 26- year-old will turn producer to promote “meaningful’ cinema. I’ll work on novel themes. I heard a couple of refreshing plots and liked them a lot. But I don’t think I will fit into those roles, so I have decided to make these films with other actors.” However, the workaholic is savouring a much-deserved break and ‘relishing’ every moment of it. “My film with Genelia will start from October 10”. Ram Charan is not much of a foodie but enjoys “vegetarian food for five days a week,” and prefers “continental non-veg cuisine on the other two”. Considered one of the trendiest actors in T-town, Ram Charan insists that, “No one can be Mr Perfect. What one wears depends on body language, skin tone, attitude and so on. I pick up clothes from high-end branded stores in London, New York or even roadside malls in Bangkok.” Before parting company, we hear he’s just been gifted a new swanky SUV. “Yeah, right. I am waiting to get my hands on it,” Ram Charan grins.

Chiru Car gift to Ram Charan

Actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi is a happy man now-a-days despite poll debacle in the elections. The reason behind this is his son, Ram Charan joining the top league with Magnum Opus Magadheera. Magadheera washed out all the records of previous films and emerged as the top grosser in India only next to Aamir Khan starrer Ghajini. Overwhelmed Chiranjeevi has decided to celebrate this rare occasion with Ram Charan. Swanky car was ordered by Chiru to give as a special gift to his son. Ram Charan was delighted knowing this and is eagerly waiting to lay his hands on it.

Magadheera in Tamil as Maaveeran!

Posted by Rajesh Thursday, October 1, 2009 0 comments

Ram Charan Teja’s recent released film ‘Magadheera’ is a block buster hit in Tollywood and had given much collection in the box office. Now, he had decided to make his entry into Kollywood with his same film ‘Magadheera’ in the name of ‘Maaveeran’ with some minor changes in the script.

Recently, the Telugu film Arundhathi was released in Tamil and it became a big hit. This gave the boost to the producer Allu Aravind and he is planning to partly remake ‘Magadheera’ and release it in Tamil.

There would be some changes in the Tamil version. They are separate comedy track by Vadivelu and the role of SherKhan will be played by either Sarath Kumar or Arjun.

Magadheera still tops the race

Dad hugged me: Charan

Posted by Rajesh Tuesday, September 22, 2009 0 comments

Magadheera has turned Ram Charan Teja into a mass hero. And one of the special aspects of the film for him was dad Chiranjeevi agreeing to make an appearance in it. “I never thought I’d get him to do it as he was so busy with politics. It took me a week to convince him and he kept aside four days just to feature in the remix of Bangaru Kodi Petta. I’m glad that I starred alongside him for at least two minutes, if not in a two-hour film,” smiles Charan.

Apparently, the Mega Star was very moved by Charan’s portrayal of Kala Bhairava in the movie. “Dad hugged me so tight that I felt suffocated! He was very proud of me,” says the actor.

Why has he done just two films in two years? “Since I played a warrior in Magadheera, my character sported shoulder-length hair and a thick beard. The look couldn’t be repeated in any other film. Now, I’ve signed a bilingual with Bhasker of Bommarilu fame, which is a love story, and another project that is to start early next year,” says the actor, who will start his own production house soon.

Magadheera Completes 50 Days

The super successful Magadheera will be completing 50 days of run in 301 centres on the 18th of this month. A programme will be held in Bangalore and producer Allu Aravind, actor Ramcharan Tej will participate.

Amidst the rumours that the film will be remade in Hindi with either Shah Rukh Khan or Aamir Khan, the filmmakers deny it and say that it's true that the film has caught the fancy and attention of the Mumbaikars but they have resolved to release it in Tamil initially. Whether to remake it or dub it is being pondered over.

Comments On Ramcharan's Title 'Orange'

Posted by Rajesh Tuesday, September 15, 2009 0 comments

Mega powerstar Ramcharan Teja who has been riding high with the success of his last release ‘Magadheera’ is currently busy with the shooting of his new movie in Bommarillu Bhaskar’s direction. However, more than the film, it is the title which is said to have got the attention for mixed reactions.

Sources say that the film has been titled ‘Orange’ and there are those who are criticizing this. They say that this is more like a fruit and how it will fit the image of Charan. On the other hand, there are others who say that the title is variety but the appeal is confusing.

Though the makers of the film have yet to confirm the title, the word ‘Orange’ has sure become a topic of discussion among many circles. It is a challenge for the makers to justify the title and the story if they are to confirm this. Wonder what Charan has to say to this now.

Ramya, Ram Charan are good friends

Posted by Rajesh Friday, September 11, 2009 0 comments

Golden girl Ramya, who is set to leave for Germany to shoot Sudeep directed movie Just Maath Maathalli, has said that Magadheera actor Ram Charan Teja is her good friend. Ramya and Ram Charan have been trained in the same acting school, but she is amazed to see him transformed into a brilliant actor.

Buzz up!
The Kannada actress Ramya was recently spotted seated beside her ex-boyfriend Ram Charan Teja the 56th South Indian Filmfare Awards function. Talking about Ram Charan, Ramya said, “There’s no ex factor here. Charan and I are good friends and go back a long way. We went to the same acting school and I’m amazed at the way he’s transformed into a brilliant actor.”

However, Ramya did not have a single release in the past year, but Ramya has managed to be in the news always. Her forthcoming Kannada movie Just Maat Maathalli has completed the shooting except two songs, which will be done in Germany. After the movie Ramya will leave for Malaysia for Hucha Kicha shooting. Besides two Kannada movies, She has also got two Tamil films, Kadhal to Kalyanam and Singam Vs Puli in her hands.

Ramya is eagerly waiting for the release of films Jothegara and Bhimoos Bang Bang Kids . Now, She wants to focus on the KPL and the Champions League, which she will be a part of. She says, “I’m already the ambassador for the Royal Challengers. So, I’m not sure how much time I can dedicate to the KPL, though many teams are approaching me to be their ambassador. And no, I’m not buying a team."

While things have not been that good on the political and morale front of the state, the film front seems to be doing okay now. The credit for that goes to the magnum opus ‘Magadheera’ and as per the latest reports, the film is all set to create history that will take ages to be broken.

Apparently, ‘Magadheera’ is said to be on its way to cross the Rs 65 crores mark in collections and this would make it the first film in south India to come up with such huge numbers. Also, the film will then stand next to the Bollywood blockbuster ‘Ghajini’ in terms of the largest collections ever made.

The Naizam area stands first with its contribution followed by Ceded area and there has been a good collection from Karnataka and US as well for this movie. All this has happened in just the first five weeks and only time will tell what more records this blockbuster will break.
